The lush, green Whangaripo Valley sits between Wellsford and Pakiri and just over the hill from Matakana.

A farming area since the 1800s and well known for turning out quality produce, the valley still has some large blocks that have been farmed by successive generations but it is now also seeing smaller holdings appear, resulting in boutique produce.

Among them are award-winning VIRTUO olive oil, Whangaripo free range eggs and mouthwatering Whangaripo buffalo cheese.
